Elaine Biedermann Obituary

Elaine Biedermann of Pearl River, NY passed away on March 13, 2024 after a courageous battle with health issues. Elaine was born on October 7, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY to James and Frances Barschow. She grew up in Cambria Heights, Queens and graduated from Andrew Jackson High School. Elaine moved to Pearl River with her family, where she would later meet her husband of 50 years, Leo Biedermann. Leo predeceased her in 2016. In addition to her parents and Leo, Elaine was predeceased by her brothers, James and Kenneth Barschow. Elaine is survived by her son Bill (Kerri) and her three grandchildren Ava, Niall and Emmet of Westfield, NJ. Her dog Sunny provided her with great love and companionship through her last several years. Elaine loved to make crafts; you could expect a personalized piece every holiday. Her home was adorned with the many stained glass pieces she created. Elaine was an avid Mets fan, but only because her beloved Brooklyn Dodgers left New York. Her true pride and joy were her three grandchildren, whom she loved spending time with and spoiling. You could always find Elaine on her front porch making sure the bird feeders were full and with a can of peanuts nearby for the squirrels. A devoted mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, she will be deeply missed. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Margaret’s of Antioch in Pearl River on Friday, March 22nd, at 10:30 am. Burial to follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery
